A public body sponsored by the Government’s Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) promotes the UK as a world leader in arts and humanities research. A newly funded priority area acting as an ambassador for heritage required a name, identity, website and print materials to promote its research output.
The name Heritage Research emphasises the key activities of the project and complements the AHRC name. The identity is inspired by ‘frameworks’ – both physical grid structures and those of Heritage Research’s own complex activities – and possesses a fresh, contemporary feel to reflect the forward looking brief of the priority area while maintaining synergy with the AHRC’s own concentric circles brand.
